Product description
The Ferno EXL Scoop is used to move injured people, especially those injured in spinal cord injuries.
The scoop stretcher eliminates the need for log-roll maneuvers, reducing the risk of further injury. This is thanks to the two-hinged, interlocking pieces that can be adjusted to the patient’s length and then “scooping” the patient by bringing the two halves together. This makes it very effective for moving a patient. It has a twin safety lock mechanism to lock and unlock it into place. On this board, the head section is recessed for proper cervical alignment and the oval profile is designed for better ergonomic use.
The construction is made out of radiolucent, thermally-treated polymer that maintains an even temperature and is easy-to-clean. It is lightweight, but is still made from high-impact composite materials. There are plenty of openings to tie a restraint strap to the patient. It folds to 119 cm for compact storage and carrying it around easier.
